We're creating the world's greatest internship program in Santiago, Chile. We've got amazing internships available for students, recent graduates, and those interested in furthering their careers. Our part-time and full-time internships target those interested in:
Both three-month and six-month internships are available (including the opportunity to be considered for a full-time job). Don't miss out on this life-changing internship. Apply now!
We’re about to launch a viral marketing and mass media campaign that will engage millions of students, parents, and supporters simultaneously in 40+ countries around the world.
To launch a campaign this ambitious, we'll be utilizing every strategy in the cause marketing playbook – including television and radio spots, newspaper and magazine placements, social media engagements on Facebook and Twitter, fun and daring Youtube videos, newsworthy surveys and infographics, grassroots school promotions, and more.
We'll even be asking students and parents around the world to submit photos of themselves doing the Scholarship Winner’s Dance – the dance you do when win a scholarship and express your joy to the world.
As an intern, you'll have real responsibilities as part of an interdisciplinary team: If you're a user interface and graphic designer, you might help design a landing page (say, for Spanish-speaking students) and then pass off your designs to a web developer who implements your design in code.
Next, a videographer will conceptualize a video for the page and work with a writer and researcher who will craft the call to action text.
Once the product development and marketing team creates a special product giveaway (in this case for Spanish-speaking students), we'll pass along the finished product to those working on public relations campaigns, social media intiatives, and school-based community outreach.
As an intern, you get to participate in the entire lifecycle of the project. If you want to learn how to start a global education movement that captures the spirit and imagination of students worldwide, then this is the project for you.

We’ve got an unprecedented mission: To gather up all of the college and university scholarships in the world and create the world’s first free and open scholarship cloud.
Imagine....
On Scholaroo, you’ll be able to browse scholarships at home or abroad – plus connect your Facebook account to get scholarship recommendations delivered to your e-mail inbox in any language.

Scholaroo was selected as winner in the Start-Up Chile global entrepreneurship competition. As a member of our team, you're invited to dozens of Start-Up Chile events and parties. You'll have an instant network of entrepreneurs and creative professionals from more than 40 countries.
At Scholaroo, we work hard and play hard, too. Each week, you can join us on the dance floor for free salsa lessons and social dancing. It's a great way to relieve stress and make new friends. Salsa is danced all over the world and we want to show you how.
Have you been sitting at your computer a bit too long? Do you need someone to help work out that kink in your neck? We've got a massage therapist on call each week for in-office chair massages that put you back in proper alignment.

Scholaroo founder Ben Kaplan is one of the world's leading experts on college scholarships, admissions, and financial aid. He has saved tens of thousands of families half a billion dollars over the past 10 years.
Kaplan is the best-selling author of How to Go to College Almost for Free (HarperCollins), the leading book in the genre with one million readers worldwide. It is based on his experiences in winning two dozen scholarships worth $90,000 — enough to attend Harvard for free.
Each year, Kaplan speaks to 30,000 families at 80 to 100 schools worldwide. He has appeared on 2,000 TV and radio shows, including Oprah, Good Morning America, NBC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, and the BBC. He has also written columns for leading global publications such as The New York Times, TIME, and U.S. News & World Report.
Kaplan has served as a media consultant, media trainer, and paid spokesperson for some of the largest companies in the world including Coca-Cola, Citibank, American Express, Sallie Mae, and Discover Card.
A Harvard-trained economist, Kaplan has served as a speechwriter for the Nasdaq Stock Market's chief economist, written case studies for Harvard Business School and the U.S. Department of Commerce, and authored investor education materials for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).
Additionally, he was named the "Top Student Leader in America" by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.

"I originally came to Chile to teach English, but I knew that I wanted to do something more substantial for my career. Working as an intern for Scholaroo has been a highlight of my time in Latin America and my best work experience ever. I have learned so many new skills and have had so much fun doing it. I have even played a key role in a massive marketing campaign that is changing the world. You must do this internship!"

We believe that design isn't just about making things look beautiful. Good design can inspire, motivate, and create an emotional connection with your audience. And good design must also be very, very easy to understand and use.

Facebook, Twitter, Google, and Youtube are incredibly powerful engagement tools... but only if used as part of a creative and cohesive strategy. Help us engage with supporters around the world and turn them into "raving fans!"
Internship Program 2012
As a Scholaroo user-interface and graphic design intern, you will work on the cutting edge of web design and learn about best practices for engaging users online. You will also create a variety of important collateral materials including posters, postcards, infographics, brochures, and logos.
Skills Needed:
Scholaroo social media and online advertising interns will be on the front lines of our brand building efforts – communicating with new users, optimizing for Google search rankings, purchasing Facebook ads, developing landing pages, working with schools and universities, and gathering millions of "likes," "shares," and "retweets." This internship position will provide you with everything you need to know to be an effective online marketer and social media expert.
Skills Needed:
At Scholaroo, we operate like a boutique PR firm: We're experts at getting broadcast, print, and online media coverage. Now is your chance to learn how we successfully pitch the largest media outlets in the U.S. and around the world.

We're developing cutting-edge website and mobile applications that leverage big data, faceted search, user interactivity, dynamic recommendation engines, and the most important third-party APIs.

Mass media and public relations interns will help us implement our nation-specific PR strategy in 40+ countries around the world. This will include creating newsworthy surveys and statistics, drafting press releases, conceptualizing infographics, communicating with TV and radio producers, and pitching newspaper and magazine editors.
Skills Needed:
Our development interns work closely with our state-of-the-art content management system (based on the Drupal platform) and use related technologies like PHP, jQuery, and Apache Solr. Interns will work on applications for both our global outreach campaign and our forthcoming scholarship search platform.
Skills Needed:
At Scholaroo, we script, film, and edit web videos that entertain, educate, motivate, and inspire. We're constantly developing creative video ideas that get people talking (and sharing) with their friends. Want to film a scholarship rap video? No concept is too crazy for us to consider!

Excellent written communication is a core component of everything we do. As a research and writing intern, you'll help us develop online courses and scholarship products, write video scripts and blog posts, as well as gather, categorize, and describe the world's best scholarships.

Videography interns will work on three main types of videos – viral (funny and entertaining), conversional (causes viewers to take action), and educational (provides useful information). We especially love concepts that can accomplish all three at the same time. Your videos will not only be featured on our YouTube channel and at our live school events, but also as footage in our frequent TV appearances.
Skills Needed:
Everyone does their best work when they are properly fueled and energized. When you work with us, your lunch will be provided by a team of chefs, who make delicious and nutritious meals for the office to enjoy together. At Scholaroo, we love to try cuisines from around the world!

Your work will be used directly in our global scholarship cloud, as well as in regular viral videos, product launches, newspaper columns, and magazine articles. As a side benefit, you'll likely uncover many scholarships along the way that you can apply for yourself! If you're good at tracking down important information wherever it may be – and making that information incredibly compelling to read – then you're going to be great at this position.
Skills Needed:
